Solbian introduces SunBoard: a new solar solution for lifelines

Solbian is expanding its marine offering with SunBoard, a new system built to integrate flawlessly with your boat’s lifelines. This solution answers the growing demand for onboard energy independence. By tapping into space that usually goes unused, it delivers a steady stream of power even when deck space is limited. 

Built for life at sea 

At the core of SunBoard is a high-efficiency Solbian panel, now made rigid thanks to an internal honeycomb structure that boosts its strength and stability. This makes the module more robust, non-deformable, and perfectly suited for harsh marine environments. It is the first rigid panel Solbian has developed specifically for this kind of setup. 

Simple, secure lifeline mounting 

Attaching the panel to your lifelines is straightforward and intuitive. It secures seamlessly using lines threaded through the panel’s reinforced eyelets. This ensures maximum stability even in strong winds, a safe hold when stowed and reliability in any weather condition.

The lower edge of the panel is connected to an aluminium support bar fitted with clips that slide along the lifeline. This lets you easily adjust the panel’s tilt from 0 to 90 degrees to track the sun, maximizing your energy yield from sunrise to sunset.
